Emily Bauman
Emily Bauman has extensive practical experience in the classroom including international experience at the
American International School in Israel. Emily participated in The Teachers’ College Reading
and Writing Project, Columbia University and prepared students for national writing exams.
Emily received a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the State University
of New York and obtained an M.S. in Education from Bank Street College of Education. She
teaches 3rd grade at The McGillis School.

Carrie Finlinson
Carrie Finlinson taught English in junior high school where she was recognized as teacher of the year. She
received her B.A. in English from Brigham Young University and participated in the Utah
Writing Project while studying for her Master’s in Secondary and Gifted and Talented Education
at Utah State University. She is a freelance writer who has been published in numerous
publications and teaches for the Youth Academy of Excellence at the University of Utah.
