Are you ready to take your writing to the next level? Teen Edition is a week-long, online immersive writing workshop for teens who want to move their writing out of the notebook and into real publication.
Modeled after professional writing workshops, this course gives teens the opportunity to follow their rough drafts through the workshop process, decipher feedback, put it to use, and revise and polish their writing towards the goal of publication.
This year's online program includes 20 hours of writing instruction and is taught by Teen Author Bootcamp co-founder and author Jennifer Jenkins. Prior to camp, writers receive a supply box of workshop handouts, notebook paper, our 2020 camp t-shirt, and a signed copy of Teen Writer's Guide: Your Roadmap to Writing by Jennifer Jenkins.
It is a week of instruction, collaboration, and application perfectly designed for the teen writer.
With her degree in History and Secondary Education, Jennifer Jenkins had every intention of teaching teens to love George Washington, the Napoleonic Wars, and Ancient Sparta until the writing began. She is the author of the Nameless trilogy, To Kill a Curse (releasing Oct. 24, 2019), and Teen Writer's Guide: Your Road Map to Writing (releasing March, 2020). She is also the co-founder of Teen Author Boot Camp, a federal non-profit organization dedicated to promoting teen literacy and authorship. She divides her free time between teaching creative writing classes at Utah Valley University, reading, taking spontaneous trips, researching random events from the past, and fostering her adrenaline junkie addictions.
